Florida State 3B/C Jaysoni Beachum, a former Tennessee Mojo-Danley/Fisher player, has joined the Dugout Chatter Blogging Crew and she will be providing her insights and analysis all summer.
Beachum is an early enrolee at Florida State where she has begun taking classes. She will rejoin the Manatee Squeeze of FGCL next week.

It seems like it was just yesterday when I said “Yep, that will be me on the FSU grounds in one year.” However, I blinked and that one year was here.
Last weekend, I had orientation and it was really exciting because I got to see the beautiful FSU campus, meet my academic advisors and meet other incoming athletes from all different sports.
On the first day of orientation, one of my athletic advisors said “you haven’t had the FSU experience until you’ve gotten poured on while walking on campus.”
Well, my FSU experience of getting poured on came on the last day of orientation. I could have gotten really aggravated, but I decided to embrace the moment. Therefore, as I officially begin my new chapter at FSU, I’m determined to embrace every moment.
