Uncommitted 2025 3B/1B Emma Knight of Texas Bombers Gold 16U-Smith has joined the Dugout Chatter Blogging Crew and she will be providing her insights and analysis all summer.
She’s off to a strong start so far and her season continues this week at Triple Crown 4th of July in Colorado.

So this week has been crazy busy. I think most people know what time of the year it is for softball … Colorado time!
My team and I just finished up playing in the Patriot Games (last week in Windsor, CO). We did really well and finished up going 4-1 and I got myself another home run.
Right after the Patriot games finished up, we all loaded our cars back up and drove about an hour from Windsor, Colorado, to Aurora, Colorado. We are playing in the (Triple Crown) Colorado Sparkler 16U Power Pool this week.
Our games start on Tuesday, and I am super excited! Colorado is always one of my favorite tournaments of the year. Playing travel softball, there is not much time for vacations, so my family and I try to make it as much of one as possible. It is always so much fun up here! Colorado just has perfect weather compared to that Texas heat. I’m ready to get this week going and do some damage!
It’s crazy to think that after this week, we only have a couple of tournaments left for the summer. It just always goes by so crazy fast. That’s why regardless of how it’s going, I always try to really enjoy these trips. Because it’s crazy to think I’ve only got two more times to do this trip.
