She’s off to a strong start so far and her season and helped her Texas Bombers Gold-Smith finish in 5th place in the National Power Pool last week at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July.

Here’s her blog for Wednesday, July 5, 2023:

(The) team and I finished up the week with a total record of 12-3. We made it all the way to Sunday and finished up 5th place out of hundreds of teams.

My week started off really good. ln our first game, we were tied 5–5. Time had just run out with bases loaded and two outs. I stepped up to the plate and I ended up hitting a walk-off grand slam to end the game. That is for sure one of the coolest moments of my life.

The rest of my week was up and down. I didn’t have my best stuff, but I was able to push through and rack up a few more home runs, five walks(which is crazy) and some more hits.

The game of softball is set up for you to fail, so during hard times you just have to remember to push through and that everything will work out.

My team is playing in a TFL tournament in Plano this week starting Thursday. I know we just finished up a two-week long tournament, but I can say we already all miss each other. I can’t wait to get going again! After this, we have the Alliance Championship in Cali, and then that’s a wrap for summer! So crazy to think it’s almost over already. Hope everyone is having a great summer.
