Uncommitted 2025 3B/1B Emma Knight of Texas Bombers Gold 16U-Smith has joined the Dugout Chatter Blogging Crew and she will be providing her insights and analysis all summer.
She’s having a strong season and recently helped Texas Bombers Gold 16U-Smith finish in 5th place in the 16U National Power Pool at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July. Her team is seeded 9th in 16U at AFCS 3, which will be held July 23-30 in So Cal.

So, we actually had this past week off. After going at it hard all summer, I enjoyed the time to be able to stay home and work in my cage and actually get to hang out in the pool a lot. Those are things that you just don’t get to do a lot in the summer with our tournament schedule.
I have really used this week to get back in the cage every day and work on the basics, doing the things I’ve always done. It’s also been nice to be able to make the early morning workouts at the gym. I attended an SEC camp last week with a couple of my teammates and that was super fun as always.
We have this next week off, too, so my routine will really be kept the same. We leave this Saturday for The Alliance in California. I’m so excited for that and to be with my girls again!! I know I’ve said this before, but it’s just crazy that this is our last tournament of the season! It really just goes by so fast. I hope everyone has had a great summer!
