2025 RHP/1B Sophia Bordi of OC Batbusters-Stith and Haddon Heights High of NJ decided to commit to Oklahoma on Tuesday.
Bordi was one of the most sought-after 2025 recruits in the country before she decided to commit to Oklahoma, the three-time defending WCWS national champions.
“I’m super blessed with the opportunity to join not only an incredible program, but a family!” Bordi said. “When I was on my visit, that’s the one thing that really stood out to me, how close everyone was not just on the field, but off as well. On top of that, I am receiving an amazing opportunity to be trained and coached by one of the best coaching staffs in college softball and I will be constantly surrounded by people who will push me to be the best version of myself on the field and in the classroom!”
Bordi helped OC Batbusters-Stith win its second consecutive 18U Alliance national championship in August. Bordi needed just 80 pitches to throw a no-hitter with eight strikeouts as OC Batbusters-Stith beat Aces Fastpitch Club, 1-0, in Game 1 of the best-of-3 national championship series.
