2025 RHP/MIF Allyssa Parker chose to commit to Oklahoma, Parker announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
“It’s been a dream for me ever since I was little to play for Oklahoma,” Parker told Dugout Chatter on Twitter. “To represent my home state while also having the opportunity to play on the biggest softball stage in the world is amazing to me.
“The coaching staff is like no other, from the way they create a family out of a team to the time they spend to develop their players on and off the field is unmatched. I love the culture at Oklahoma, the ‘Championship Mindset’ is not a lie. I am very competitive at everything I do so to go to a college where competing is a standard feels right to me.
“The way that Oklahoma not only builds players to be their best on the field, but also prepares them to be successful women in life was also a big factor for me. Oklahoma feels like home, besides the fact its my home state, the way the fans interact and support all of the teams is amazing. The feeling I get when I step on campus is unreal, I don’t know if there is any other place I would rather be. BOOMER ☝️”
Parker went 22-2 with a 0.59 ERA and 150 strikeouts and she batted .460 with 20 home runs to help Pocola High teach the Class 2A state title game last fall in Oklahoma.
She also helped Aces Fastpitch Club reach the 18U Alliance Nationals championship series this past summer.
“I’m excited for Allyssa,” Aces coach Ryan Taylor said. “To follow her journey from 10s until now has been incredible. She has grown tremendously over the past year transitioning to 18U as a sophomore. She had the opportunity to pitch in the national championship game in a 1-0 pitchers’ dual. Allyssa is one of the most athletic kids in the country and has a bright future. Her desire to compete for championships and continue her growth will fit in well with OU’s championship mindset.”
I’M STAYING H⭕️ME!! Extremely grateful for the opportunity to represent my home state!! BOOMER‼️@GassoPatty @jtgasso @coachjro @rktaylor12 @STayTaylor18 @Aces_SoftballKC pic.twitter.com/8fAlWrTPaQ
