Nickname: AB! One of my coaches, prior coaches gave me that name and it stuck.

Honors: All-American Softball Games; and 1st Team All-Tournament at Alliance Nationals.
Travel Ball Summer Stats: Pitching — 30-4, 2.41 ERA, 213 IP and 219 Ks; Batting —.406 AVG, 4 HRs, 5 triples, 22 doubles, 60 RBIs and 58 runs.
Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? Athletics Mercado-Bustamante contacted my parents and asked me to come try out with the team.
Tell us about your future high school team? I will be playing for La Costa Canyon High. They are ranked #7 in Division 2. Last year’s record was 13-11.
Can you tell us about your club team’s 5th-place finish at the Alliance Nationals this summer? My team is a 2009 firt-year 14U team. We battled and finished 5th place in Alliance Nationals. I was recognized as a Tier 1 All-Tournament selection at Alliance Nationals.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? Batbusters-Stith is a tough team we face due to their clean fielding and strong hitters.
What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? At my age, I have not faced many challenges. I am the person I am today because of my parents’ love, support and encouragement.
What are you looking for in a future college? I’m looking for a community that is like a family.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I’m interested in something related to law. Maybe, a private investigator, law enforcement or SWAT team.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? I enjoy math because it challenges me.
Who is your sports hero and why? Jordyn Bahl because I aspire to be a phenomenal pitcher like her.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? “The Outsiders” (by S.E. Hinton) because I like the plot of the story.
What’s the best hype song and why? When I was little, I always listened to “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khaled with my dad before my softball games.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? I love to watch “All American” because it’s a good show.
What’s your favorite movie and why? My favorite movie is “The Goonies” because it’s a very comical movie and I grew up watching it.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I’m good at the worm!
