Uncommitted 2025 3B/1B Emma Knight of Texas Bombers Gold 16U-Smith has joined the Dugout Chatter Blogging Crew and she will be providing her insights and analysis all summer.
She’s having a strong season and recently helped Texas Bombers Gold 16U-Smith finish in 5th place in the 16U National Power Pool at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July.

My team just got back from the TFL (Summer) Championships in Dallas this past weekend. Coming off a 5th-place finish in the Colorado Sparkler, we were feeling pretty confident.
But as things sometimes go, we didn’t do nearly as well as we planned. We got off to a rough start and just never really got back on track. I personally didn’t have a great tournament. Just seemed like I was fighting my swing all weekend. It was a long ways from what I expect of myself. But that’s just softball. It happens.
We have a couple of weeks off now before we head to California for our final tournament of the summer. Time to get back in the cage and get things back to feeling right. I always look forward to the times where I get multiple days in a row to get in the cage. It never feels like work. It’s actually one of my very favorite things to do. As they say, if you know you know!

It’s crazy to think we only have one tournament left for the summer. It seems like just a few days ago I was finishing up high school softball and getting ready to hit the road with Texas Bombers. Now we’re almost done. I am super excited for Cali. It’s always a great time. Good luck to everyone and I will see y’all again next week!
