Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I’ve always played with Texas teams until the summer after my freshman year. We wanted to make the move to an Oklahoma team. We heard Scotty (Smith) was looking for some players and we went and worked out with him. Then my family and I decided that Scotty’s team was a good fit. I liked how they competed at a high level of competition.
Tell us about your high school team, Caddo High, and how you did? My high school team is very close. We do everything together. My coach definitely pushes us to be better every day. I have won four state championships with them. We’ve went back-to-back in fastpitch and slowpitch.
What are you working on/focusing on this summer to help yourself become a better player? This summer will be a big one for me so I’m working on everything to be the best that I can.
What have you faced overcome in life to become the person you are today? This is a tough question for me to answer. I have a pretty good life compared to what some people have been through.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? My toughest opponent would be my twin sister, (Jordyn Nichols), because we are always pushing each other in everything that we do.
What are you looking for in a future college? I’m looking for a school that has a great softball program.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I’m interested in going into the medical field to help people.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? My favorite subject is definitely math because it just comes easy to me.
Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero is Ken Griffey Jr. and that’s why I wear number 24 in high school.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? Hard for me to choose, but if I had to, it would be “The Accident Season” (by Moira Fowley-Doyle).
What’s the best hype song and why? I don’t really have a specific hype song that I listen to.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? My favorite TV show is “KC Undercover” because I love Zendaya.
What’s your favorite movie and why? My favorite movie is “The Princess and the Frog.” It has the best songs and is so funny.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I think my secret talent would be (the) long jump. I’ve medaled two years in a row at the state track meet.
